Awesome Lake District Landscape Photography Workshop Review…
Whenever you organise & run a Landscape Photography Workshop, whether its a simple few hours at one venue or a multi-day residential event, its always great to hear from your attendees to see what worked for them, and just as importantly for structuring future workshops, what didn’t work so well
Pat & Martin Booked me for my April 2025 5-day residential workshop
We took over a house in Keswick as our base, and after an introductory evening on Day 1, we were out for 6:00 a.m. each morning thereafter; traveling to various locations as per my “Classics” collections here… Lake District Landscape Photography Workshops
At the end of which, and after sending them my workflow PDF sheets too, I received this AWESOME Review…
“Hiya Dave
Yes I have just about recovered the sleep deprivation incurred on your workshop not sure that the brain overload will be dealt with as quickly!
However your workflow sheets look great and I am sure that when I loose the plot in the future it will be something to refer to get me (us) back on track.
We both enjoyed our time with you and felt you provided us with a range of well thought out stunning locations all having something different within them that required us to look and then properly see with your expert guidance the images we wanted to capture.
The breadth and scope of your knowledge and understanding of the process of photography is" off the scale " and that together with your ability to put that into a language that both of us could understand in our own way made the workshop an incredible experience.
As the days progressed you helped us to build on the skills and knowledge you gave us and assimilate them into our routines. Every question was answered and every repeat of a question was met with patience and a clear desire to ensure we were on board with the process.
But that sounds as if it was all " teachy and learny" and whilst that was obviously what we were wanting when you add in the fun and laughter , the jammy tales, the social evenings in the pub where the world was put to rights it became an all round experience that we enjoyed immensely.
It has been without a doubt the best workshop we have been on and well worth every penny and we are already saving up for one of your long exposure sessions.
You will be please to know I no longer have tripod hatred ( I may relapse occasionally)) and although there are gremlins clearly lurking in my equipment I am determined to brow beat those glitches into oblivion or at least pass on the problem to himself to sort!!!!!
A new lens is on it's way and we are both already working out when and where our next outing will be.......probably Thursday!!!
We have started to review our images and will send you some for comment once we have finished that and worked out another new process for sending them out.
Thank you once again for your help and guidance your LOVE of Landscape has inspired us we look forward to where it takes us next.
As a tiny critique you forgot to mention locking off the auto focus to manual on your long exposure sheet....see we were listening!!!
You may use any of the above comment for review and testimonial purposes.
Cheers and all the best from us both.
Pat and Martin”
I have of course corrected that step of locking off autofocus on my Long Exposure Workflow Sheet! lol
